waiting at a busstop
Society can be seen as waiting at a busstop. There are people looking permanently at their watch, there are people eating their sandwhich, in little pieces, but very fast, since they have to have everything swallowed once the bus is there, there are people almost falling asleep (once they are in, they will definitely fall asleep), there are people doing their make-up, people doing their morning gym, people staring at each other, people talking about the weather, people bitching about how slow the bus is and that they don't have a car and that life is toooooo expensive, people flirting, people on the phone, people sneaking around in circles, ready to go in the back door in order not to pay the fee ...
And Haitians? Haitians say that when Haitians wait at a busstop, they do not know when the bus will come, they do not know how much they'll have to pay and they do not know where the bus is going. But, yet, they are waiting.
the cathedral of Kroy
The cathedral of Kroy announces itself to be the biggest cathedral in the world. This, however, is by far not the most remarcable feature of this building. It is also the cleanest cathedral in the world (at least on the inside...). This might be due to the fact that it was built much later than other cathedrals, or that there is a regular pest control coming through the building, or that people put in an enourmous effort to contrast the decay on the outside with the cleanliness on the inside. Thus, the heating system inside the church prevents the growth of moisture, the public bathrooms prevent urine smell in the apse, the green and red neon lighting prevents drug consumption and the immaculately built columns and walls, in a very mosaic ride through architectural history, prevents the attribution to one style. As Kroyans know very well, the cathedral has been built more as a symbol of a church than of a real church, combining romanesque columns in gothic heights with the deliberately left unfinished wall (as a hint towards the time and effort it took for the construction), with lamps from all countries and nations (a hint to the mixed population which was supposed to contemplate the church) and an altar by Andy Warhol (as a symbol of openmindedness towards contemporary art and sexual orientations ... although,.... this might be going too far in the interpretation).
In order to make the outside more attractive, peacocks are wandering around and a basketball court invites to play.
heritage
Cultural heritage ("national heritage" or just "heritage") is the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society that are inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the benefit of future generations. Often though, what is considered cultural heritage by one generation may be rejected by the next generation, only to be revived by a succeeding generation. the REAL thing - again
In front of the building you have the traffic and underneath the buildings you have the rats and the subway and above the building you have the sky with disoriented geese which got stuck in the magnetic field of Lower Manhattan and are circling forever above Ground Zero, like a landmark and reminder to the well-known, much-talked-about event one day in 2001, but behind the buildings, behind them, you see the REAL thing.
Only the geese can see it, but their sense of orientation has failed them.

Question:
Will these buses, some day, be protected as historical "moving landmarks"?
... and will a computer-animated woman continuously jump up and down this sidewalk?
... and will we be able to see this SYMS-sign in a museum, explain to us that it was
back then, in 2008, which was around the time of the financial crisis and right before everything CHANGED, SYMS stood for a cooperation which operated a chain of 33 off-price retail stores located in the United States. Its merchandise consisted primarily of men's tailored clothing and haberdashery, women's dresses, suits and separates, children's apparel and men's, women's and children's shoes.Will this be the case?
